Youlgreave, we love you!

We picked Youlgreave for a week away this October because we wanted to be near places to visit. It’s in a fab location near Bakewell, Matlock, Chatsworth and Crich Tramway Museum to name a few local attractions.

We never expected to spend most of our time in Youlgreave but that’s what happened!

For a young family there is everything you need to occupy and entertain if the weather is decent – a play area, a five aside football pitch, a big playing field, a church and lovely walks.

You’ll be spoilt for choice with food with two well stocked shops, a friendly cafe and “Peak Feast” (a large family run kitchen that supplies restaurants in the area and makes amazing vegetarian and vegan food). And if that’s not enough there is also three pubs all within five minutes of each other.

So if you’re looking to get away from it all and spend time relaxing, enjoying a lovely pace of peaceful life then I really recommend Youlgreave.
